Your community needs you! The Hidden Valley Lake Property Owners Association (HVL POA) encourages you to become involved in your local government. Any POA member in good standing may volunteer to serve on a standing committee or task force. Volunteers serve in an advisory role without compensation.

Purpose
• Find and review information within their areas of responsibility.
• Provide direction and recommendations to the Board and staff.
• Consider public comment and reflect the community’s voice.
• Implement the Community Master Plan.

• Review all financial information and project requests.
• Develop and recommend an annual budget.
• Track monthly revenues and expenditures.
• Develop and monitor a long-range financial forecast.
• Review capital project proposals for financial impact.
• Submit budgets to Board for review.
• Report periodic audit reports.
• Investigate ideas for new sources of income.

Focus on enforcement of POA Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and due process procedures.
• Interpret enforcement of rules.
• Administer fines and hear appeals.

Focus on the development and maintenance of lakes, parks and recreation areas, and the preservation of HVL’s natural resources.
• Provide guidance for management of all HVL lakes, including watercraft, marina, docks and fishing.
• Develop and maintain community parks, playgrounds and recreational facilities.
• Manage and protect the community’s natural resources and greenbelt areas.
• Oversee compliance with federal and state regulations for inspections, etc.

Focus on promoting the safety and security of the community.
• Review issues regarding traffic control, signage, safety hazards, security equipment.
• Review burning, curfew, animal nuisance, noise, and property and person issues.
• Elections Sub-committee – conduct POA Board elections and other community votes.
